Penguin Activity Sheet
Hello, creative friends!
I hope this message finds you all well and inspired!
This year, I’m on a joyful mission to embrace my inner-child and explore playful curiosities in my creative practice. While striving for perfection can be important, especially when working on client projects. I find that I feel most inspired when my work invites playfulness and ignites meaningful conversations.
Today, I'm excited to share a fun, free printable colouring and cut-out and mark-making sheets! These are perfect for projects with little ones at home. And why not gather your artist friends for a cosy afternoon of coffee, cake, and crafting penguins together? Let’s make “adult craft days” a thing. Unless it's already a thing, in that case, please invite me to your craft party.
Feel free to alter the design or add your own accessories to your penguin friend. The alphabet can be printed and used to add personal favourite mark-making techniques when making art. Or as a decorative piece to colour over.
What you’ll need to create a charming standing penguin:
Scissors
Your favourite art supplies (I used crayons and markers)
Thick paper (feel free to repurpose recycled or old papers)
Fun Penguin facts:
Did you know a group of penguins swimming together is known as a 'raft,' while on land, they waddle as a 'waddle'?
Male penguins often charm their mates by gifting them with pebbles in a delightful courtship ritual.
African penguins communicate through a fascinating mix of vocalisations and body language.
These fascinating birds are exclusively found in the Southern Hemisphere.
And of course, penguins are unable to fly!
